Since we Irish came up with it, as "water of life" (how true), it should be "e".
And, avoid more than 8 vico or 12 perc per day while drinking no more than three drinks per day and a healthy liver can handle the tylenol.
The percs are better if you are worried about your liver as they are a "reg" tyl whereas vics are a "extratyl" (325 mg vs 500 mg).
What's the procedure? Had many...having a replacement at 55.

WT -
I have oblique tears in the lateral and medial meniscus the doc is going to clean up. He is also going to do a lateral release of the kneecap to move it back to the center of the femur. The nasty part is repairing the microfractures on the lateral head of the femur since the kneecap was pulling to the outside and had worn away the articular cartilage and an 1/8 of an inch of the femur head.
The doc is optimistic he can get everything cleaned up enough and get the kneecap back in alignment so it stops wearing away itself, but I think my marathon days are numbered.
Damn the bad luck.......

Yikes...they took out lateral and medial cart in 82...damn, I feel old. Look it too.
But, though all ligs and such are now compromised, and I have no (!) real cart remaining, it is holding up til I can do the right thing...
Good luck my friend, and remember, "meds are OUR friends".
Plus, this is something the youngsters should avoid readind: be sure to start "stool softners" ASAP afterward to avoid any, ahem, strain. Seriously.

Yep--all the hospital trips and "procedures" have taught me you defn don't want to be on those things for long...the digestive system was the first thing to notice all was not normal.
First trip to the hospital 30 yrs ago: I didn't crap for a week...never again made that mistake. I had noticed the guy next to me started getting these little gel caps and metamucil two days before discharge. Figured it out a little too late.
